Laser Cladding – FSI’s most unique process is our patented Parent Material Restoration (PMR.) Unconventionally combining known technologies, FSI restores dimension to airfoils and adjunct configurations; the result is consistent restoration of parts, many considered otherwise beyond economic repair.
Robotic Centers – FSI continues to maximize our robotic capabilities, which in turn strengthens our workforce. Robotic centers, which perform finishing and machining; knife-edge seals and shrouds; and coating, enhance our efficiency. Expansion of these applications is a continuous activity. This DER-approved repair allows laser cladding of knife-edge seals to a per side thickness of up to 0.035”
(0.070” on diameter), resulting in return to service in full conformance with 14 CFR requirements.
